The chameleon sighed to himself as he made it back to Chaotix HQ after a long trip from home in the Dragon Kingdom in which he had an uncomfortable visit with his mother the Bride of the clan Constant Vigil. Vigil had criticized Espio for most of the time they were together whether it was Espio slacking off on his training, his current lifestyle, the fact he had t taken on any pupils, but most of all not providing a single grandchild that could be a strong future leader of their clan. After some time and multiple cups of tea consumed she managed to convince her son to start recruiting some of his allies to the clan as well as finding a wife suitable for making a great successor. At first Espio thought someone like Blaze would be great but he didn’t think she would be willing until Vigil showed him a special special herb the clan were able to recently make: it made the consumer suggestible to anything they heard from five minutes after they had the herbs for one hour which would make recruiting for new clan members easier, with this in mind sure he could make Blaze his wife but he could also use them to make someone build something for him that could say change the gender of someone else and that brought Sonic to mind but first he wanted to recruit his fellow Chaotix members to the clan.
“About time you got home!” Charmy shouted as he came flying out to greet Espio, “I’m surprised you waited for me the clan gave me some herbs to brew a special tea I want you and Vector to try.” The bee was going over to hug his companion until he heard that suggestion which gave him a look of disgust on his face as he started to back into the home. “EWW TEA IS GROSS!” However he was stopped from making it in as Vector stood in his path, “You’re going to shut up and drink it all you little brat and thank him afterwards!” Vector was not having any of Charmy’s shenanigans today as all three walked back inside, Espio making his way into the kitchen and brewing the tea in only about two minutes. “I finished the tea make sure to blow on it as it’s hot Charmy.” Espio walked out with two glasses full of the green tea and handed his companions each one, Charmy listened to the chameleon’s instructions and blew before taking a sip licking his lips after. “WOW THIS IS GREAT!” Vector chuckled as he started drinking it as well, “See Charmy now was trying it that bad?” The bee’s response was slow as he was too busy chucking the tea down so he gave a simple thumbs up. “I guess that’s all he will respond with.” Due to the size of Vector’s mouth it didn’t take long for him to drink it either but as the duo both finished they started appearing sluggish as Espio took their cups and smirked at them. “Mother was right, now you both will start training to be loyal member of the Shinobi Clan obeying any orders the Bride or myself give do you understand?” “Yes master...” Both of the detectives stated with their eyes glossed over, “As much as I would like to spend time training you here I have a mission to further attend to so while I am gone you both will clean this place up and use multiple scrolls in my room to use as research to figure out our techniques, skills, and history. Also if any potential client comes around give them a cup of the tea and recruit them to the cause I gave you only two cups so there’s far more than enough still ready.” The two would nod as Charmy went to find the scrolls and Vector started to clean up as Espio walked out the door ready to continue his grand mission.
