Harry snapped his fingers as an idea came to him. It just felt a little too easy with the book, and he enjoyed being surprised. He pulled out the little book and scribbled inside it.
Transfigurations are used as general punishments as well, as deducting house points. He thought about adding that most would be gender swaps or body -enhancements-... but decided to leave that out of his control.
He slid the book back inside his bag, and looked back to the teacher.
It was then that he realised how quiet the class was, and worse yet everyone was looking at him. Professor Snape looked down on Harry at the best of times, and he slowly shook his head. His dry tones mocking Harry as he spoke.
"I see we have our -favourite- student paying attention again." He smiled across the class taking in the Slytherin side with more good humour.
"Perhaps, you need a choice to help you focus. The choice is part of your punishment, Potter. You can either cost Gryffindor 20 house points."
A suppressed groan came from those around Harry, and though he knew the punishment was unjust he hoped things wouldn't be too bad.
Snape continued, "Or you can take on a transformation for the rest of the day and cost Gryffindor only five points."
Harry was about to ask the professor what the change would be, but the predatory smile on his face, told him that even asking would be seen a sign of weakness.
His eyes darted between Ron and Hermione, Ron gave a quick shrug, and Hermione just look rather worried.
Harry took a deep breath to steady his nerves, he didn't want to sound afraid, even if that was how he felt. Not in front of Slytherin students.
