Confrontation

I switched off the radio and clambered out of the jeep.
"I'm afraid the road is blocked abouts ere' me lady!" I eyed the officer suspiciously.
"Where might I be able to find a way out then!" I asked.
"Please me lady, if ya' just turn off the lights!" he hissed, covering up his face.
"Wouldn't it be dark?"
"Dark!!!" He turned his back to the beams of light pouring from the jeep. "Oh yes!"
"No!"
"Sorry?"
"I won't. I need a way out. Is there any other road."
"Nobody escapes. Nobody will!"
The tall man before her slouched down to the ground where he seemed to... change colour? A blue, shimmery colour like an electric-blue.
When it raised itself, I let out a wailing cry.
Suddenly, the road behind me seemed to erupt into light.
"Raj! They're ere'!" Raj, the blue man, turned back to the officer. He hissed out and cowered back into the shadow. The light came closer.
