Kate had tried to lose the weight but when she tried to work out it had become 10 times more difficult than before. Before the pregnancy all her workouts were easy and she enjoyed them, but now she was sweaty after just a minute and finding herself out of breath and tired in seconds. She tried to keep it up but found herself dreading each workout and hating exercise. She figure that there was no point and that she would diet instead and once she was slim then she would work out again as it would be easy. However her diets didn’t seem to be working as well as she had hope, all the cravings from her pregnancy didn’t seem to go and each day she found herself drooling for a maccies and a pizza. After a few days of trying to resist she would cave and get herself a huge meal. She kept bargaining with herself “just one more meal to get it out my system” but that soon become “ one more day may as well I’ve already had a meal.” Which became “one more week I’ve already eaten for a day so may as well be a week” and soon the once iron self control before the pregnancy was fully gone and she couldn’t go an hour without some delicious snack being shove down her throat. The stress of having a newborn didn’t help either and she had actually hired a full time nanny to help her and her husband whilst he was of playing baseball.
Kate was at the doctors for a post birth check up.
“Well miss Upton. After taking your measurements just now and looking at your file it appears that before the birth you was 205 pounds and after you was 191, this means you had quite a large gain during your pregnancy. Looking at today’s measurements it appears you’ve actually put on all the weight you lost from the birth and you actually weigh 208 pounds. However this is not uncommon with new mothers and is nothing to worry about just yet however you are actually quite over weight now so If anymore isn’t gain then we should start to be concerned however I’m sure someone like you is more then capable to drop the weight. I would like to reschedule another check up in 3 months time just to see how you are doing, this should be plenty of time to drop the weight.” The doctor said
As Kate left she was just thinking “omg are you fucking joking I’ve gained 17 pounds I’ve been trying non stop to lose weight and I’m fucking over 200 pounds how the fuck has this happened to me. I can’t let anyone find out especially my work they would sack me. Fuck I’m stress ohhh may as well get a McDonald’s as it’s only across the road but I swear this is my last.”
