It's July 3, the day before Independence Day, and Chris is with his mom, Carol, looking for fireworks at 'Holiday Home'. It's a store that only sells items for whatever holiday is around the corner.
Carol finds the fireworks, and is about to call Chris when she sees a hat with stars and stripes on it on the floor. She reaches down to pick it up, wondering if someone dropped it. She gets ready to see if it belongs to someone when something says that she needs to buy it for Chris.
With this new thought in mind, she calls Chris, and they check out before leaving.
