Other faces for surgery - Rando liked another girl that wasn't Rina and Manabe used this photo to reconstruct his face.

Real amnesia - When Rando waked up at Manabe's clinic he had amnesia.

More than a Pretty Face - I'll only copy the begging of the story at FF.net and anyone can continue it. The premise is that it was impossible to determine Rando sex so Manabe not only gave him the face from the photo he was carrying but also the body.
