"Erm...please don't tell anyone about this..." Romel says, looking about with utmost caution. "I acidentally sat on it..." You raise an eyebrow quizicly as you look him up and down once more. "No offense Romel, but it would take alot of force to split an axe handle in this manner, and you are by no means a heavy man." The farmer rubs the back of his head nervously. "Well, it was in a pile of straw and I didn't see it when I went to take a break and well..." Romel hung his head in shame. You shake your head in an amused fashion. "It's alright Romel, thanks for being honest with me at the very least" You say as you ease the axe head onto a fresh haft and tighten it. "Here you go, good as new!" You say as you hand the dirty farmer back his splitting tool. "Thanks." he says as he reaches for his belt, but you place a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry about the coin, I needed something to do at the moment anyway." you say. The grimy man's eyes lit up. "Thank you for your kindness, but I must insist..." he says, droping the five copper coins he had promised into a pewter mug that lay upon the unlit blast furnace. He then turns around and hurries away and you are alone once again.
