Stranded in the future Hinata and Naruto look around before Hinata calls out, "Naruto-kun look." Hinata says pointing that the hokage monument. There on the far right was the face of Naruto Uzumaki, but about 15 years older than he had been before her transformation into this girl was currently was. As they look about Hinata and Naruto hear a woman call out. "Boruto, Himawari, it's time for dinner."
Entering the training field, Naruto and Hinata look at the mature future version of Hinata walking to them. "Wow Hinata, you look beautiful in the future," Naruto whispers too quietly for future Hinata to hear.
"Thank you Naruto-kun." Hinata whispers back as Hinata stands in front of them.
"Boruto I know you are excited to show Himawari what you learned today, but you could hurt your sister. Lets go home, your father should be home soon." Hinata orders as she hoist Naruto up into her arms as she hold her hand out for Boruto/Hinata to grab.
Flashback end
That day they came to the future was a year ago. Having grown accustomed to their situation after a few months, both Naruto and Hinata decided to embrace their situation, if only to throw off the curious glances when they acted out of character.
Having just spent the day with her 'mom,' Himawari made her way to 'Boruto's' room. "Welcome home Onii-chan," Himawari calls
"Hi Imoto, can you close the door." Boruto asks
With the door now close, Himawari makes the small jump onto Boruto's bed. "I really turned out to be a terrible husband and father didn't I." Himawari states sadly.
"You kind of did. You never seem to be there for us," Boruto replies. "I mean our future kids not me and you, although future me seems a bit depressed."
"Onii-chan, I promise, if we ever get back to our timeline, I will make sure that I am there for you and the kids." Himawari promises
"Thank you Imoto." Boruto says happily.
Having said that, a voice speaks inside their minds. "The one who needed this revelation the most has realized that the future wasn't as good as he hoped it would be, now return to your past to make sure that this time line never happens. I warn you it wont be as you expect." Having said its piece, reality begins to ripple as Himawari and Boruto find themselves back in their proper time line.
Feeling herself get taller, Naruto gives out a little cheer. "Yay, I'm turning back to normal." Back to a decent height for a 13 year old again, Naruto and Hinata watch as their clothes glow, as they shift about. As the glow fades, both of their jaws drop. Naruto was wearing Hinata's usual pale purple jacket and Hinata was wearing Naruto's usual orange jump suit. Within moments Naruto was a spitting replica of Hinata and vise versa. For all intents and purposes, they had swapped bodies.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
