Fire: Fire dragons mostly reside in volcanic areas but other wise they are free verse type of dragons that live anywhere. It is obvious that fire dragons can breathe fire and that they would have red scales and probaly a golden/yellow underbelly but heres the special part, there are several special fire dragons that can actually control volcanoes and that the fire dragons can spit out fire balls. Most of the fire dragons would probaly be hot-heads and aggressive.
Mist: Mist dragons are a mysterious species that have amazing magic skills and these creatures homeland is hidden in mystery and shroud which is basically saying anywhere. The color of their scales are grey, white, or silver and their breath ability is steam which sounds kind of bad but it still hurts and burns badly and remember the mist dragons have amazing illusion and allteration magic skills which is pretty useful and fun to use.
