"Alright Basco lets get em." Basco is Sonic's call sign. "Copy that Foxtrot." Foxtrot is Tails' call sign, his radar operator is Foxtrot 2, real name Thomas. The two planes move to engage. "Hey Basco how about a trick?" "I'm listening." "I'll duck out and then when you enter a turning fight you fly off then I'll come behind him and shoot him down." "Alright Foxtrot let's go." Tails whips his plane around and flys away about a mile and a half. Just enough for the MiG to take the bait. Sonic engages and soon enters a turning fight where the MiG 17 is superior at low speeds but is inferior at high speeds. This is low speeds. As soon as the MiG is about to line up a shot, Sonic lights afterburner and accelerates away at Mach 1.8, the max speed for the F8. The MiG turns around to head for home when Tails drops in behind him, just below him so the MiG won't see him. He puts his nose up and fires a heat seeking missile. An explosion detonates the MiG. The pilot bails out. "Yo Basco I got I'm." "Good work Foxtrot. Give em hell." They form up and look for more MiGs. After 10 minutes "Bingo Foxtrot." Bingo is a term for when a pilot has only enough fuel to return home. But then 3 MiG 17s appear on radar. "Hey Basco what are you gonna do?"
