Chapter #4

Toxic fumes

Tails: COME ON YOU SON OF A BITCH! *The Helmet is locked into position. It won't budge* AH F*CK IT!

Tails throws his helmet across the room and runs to the runway. He sees his big beautiful F22 Raptor. The best fighter in the world. Stealthy, fast, sleek, and packs a hell of a punch. With 4 radar guided, 4 heat seeker, and a 20 mm Vulcan canon firing 6000 rounds per minute.

However, the F22 has a faulty oxygen system. Going up without the helmet that feeds fresh oxygen, is a very bad idea. Tails goes anyway.

He fires up his engines before he even closes the cockpit. He speeds up and lifts off, as he's bringing his gear up, he's nose to nose with an Su-47. So he just puts the 47 in his gunsight and pulls the trigger. BRZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Several 20 mm high explosive shells impact the enemy jet, but it absorbs the punishment and flies on. His engine is still increasing, but he's not very fast at the moment. He gets a missile warning. He waits until its just 300 feet away, and pops flares to decoy the missile. A 30 mm bullet grazes the tip of his nose. The canopy doesn't break, but his oxygen will go even lower with the holes the bullet created.

Tails goes in pursuit of a Sukhoi as his engines finally reach the correct flight speed. He's too close for a radar guided, and even for a heat seeker. He's got to gun this guy. The Sukhoi dodges and weaves, but the agile Raptor easily matches. The Sukhoi pitches up and claws for altitude. Tails pales slightly. With no oxygen mask, and holes in his cockpit, he won't be able to stay conscious at a high altitude, but he wasn't about to let the Russian get away. Tails pulls lead and fires. The Sukhois takes 100 20 mm shells and finally starts smoking. Tails goes to squeeze another burst off, when he gets light headed. Tails faces a difficult choice. If he goes for the kill, he may black out, but he doesn't want to let the pilot get away.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. He goes for the kill

*Noteb*
2. He lets the Russian go

*Noteb*
3. He is joined by a squad mate

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
