With the snake at the vets office the tank is the best place to hide. Using the lamp cord to climb, you make it to the top of the dresser, and proceed to climb a trophy next to the tank. Once level with the top of the tank you notice the lid isn't on all the way. To you that's confirmation enough that the snake is at the vet since he would never leave the lid open otherwise. Climbing onto the edge of the tank, you slowly lowered yourself onto the fake tree branch, using it to safely get down to the bottom.
James has since stopped counting and started looking for you. Just as you thought he looked under the bed and in the closet first. You duct behind the water bowl as he passed by the tank, but what confused you was he fixed the lid and said"That wouldn't be good for Fred at his size.
