Riding the horses at gallop was nice on a day with a gentle breeze but it felt a little strange for the paladin as she had much longer hair since her transformation to a woman. The golden strands of hair rippled like waves in air offset nicely by the blue sky. Her squire watched the curvy form of his master, the breasts bounced on her chest of the two new mounds. He wanted to tell her how beautiful she was but he knew she wouldn’t appreciate the compliment because she wanted to return to being a man which seemed a bit of a shame to the squire who thought she was the most beautiful woman he had seen.
An ogre came crashing out of the forest, gnawing on a leg of a human. The creature turned to face them as they pulled up their horses to avoid running into it. It smashed a fist into Albert’s horse crushing the skull of the animal even as they went for their weapons. Sir Garrett drew a lance with all of her diminished strength and thrust it at the vulnerable throat of it. Roaring in pain from the blow the ogre slapped the lance and Thunder away sending the paladin tumbling to the ground.
Blood poured from the wound in the neck but the slobbering nine-foot creature seemed more interested in slaying the ones who had harmed it than taking care of the wound. It stomped towards the disoriented woman who was backing away from it. She rolled away from the lunging grab of the giant humanoid. Albert raced up behind the creature slashed the back of the leg severing critical muscles. No longer able to support the colossal weight of the ogre, the leg buckled dropping the monster on the ground.
It started to crawl towards Sir Garrett who lifted her short sword to an attack position at the approach of the monster. The blade was not as familiar to her as her long sword but it was much easier to work and use because of her much smaller form. A powerful arm of the ogre smashed into the ground near her, she darted in and made a quick slash across the brow before moving back out of reach. Fresh blood started to flow into the eyes of the ogre blinding it. Albert leaped upon the back of the monster and drove his sword deep into the chest of it cleaving the heart of the ogre ending its life.
Sir Garrett wiped the sweat from her brow and looked around to assess the situation they were in now. Albert’s horse was dead and her horse looked like it was injured to the point she didn’t trust her weight on it much less both of them. Her plans to catch up had certainly taken a hit but she was glad her and Albert were okay. There was a small village about ten miles up the road but she thought she had seen a farm not too far off that might have some horses they could use.
