The Blood Moon sought greater power and looked for children who were gifted from all over the world and bound them to entities from the stars or beyond. The group was not known for being willing to share information but they were more than willing to share their powers with those who would pay their prices which often didn’t involve money. Most kingdoms banned them but there were always those looking for another weapon to get what they wanted so they flourished with unknown goals and motives.
Har wanted to know more about them and their magic for his own purposes so he chose to go after them. Secret groups often had secret knowledge especially arcane related ones and that was what he wanted most. He was willing to make a deal with them if they able to help him and worried him that he didn’t know how far he would go to get what he wanted. Under the command of the Sorcery Queen, he had committed murder on many occasions but he always told himself it was because of her, it wasn’t him. During his escape he had slain many and since that day still others had been added to his debts, at what point did he become as bad as the Queen? Would he let the Blood Moon keep the children if they could free him from his connection to his former master?
He could still feel the connection to her, she called to him as he slept and he could feel her searching for him. What scared him most was the fact that there was no anger to the searching, she wanted him but she was a twisted creature whose idea of love usually involved torture. His defiance intrigued her and she would break him trying to understand him.
Since the Blood Moon had left the city according to the sources of the King he would follow them. He was good at trailing magic users, it had been his duty. His powers allowed him to find and kill threats to the Queen. Magic users left a stain on the land that he could follow. The trail was stained dark that hinted at evil and foul actions and he saw attachments to something distant and alien to this world. Whatever the things were had great power, power even greater than the Queen of Sorcery could muster. It was frightening to touch the vibrations of it but it gave him hope that he would be free of his attachment.
What would he do when he was finally free? Could he live a normal life? The process to craft his powers and strength with embedded deeply into him. It was attached to his body, mind and even his spirit so that he could never be made to betray his master. Har wasn’t certain he would survive the process but death was preferable to the eternal servitude of her, the one he feared even more than the unknown dark entities the Blood Moon served.
