The mage raised his hand and gave Garret a warm smile, his mind made up. It was too risky for the knight to remain alive, and a fall from this height would seem both a believable certain death.
"I believe your destination is below, friend" The mage said, and while Garret turned to look down the far side of the mountain, the mage put a hand on the back of Garrets armor and with a little force, sent the knight careening down the face of the mountain. The mage watched as the knight screamed and flailed in fear and confusion, his form growing smaller and smaller until suddenly everything stopped as the knight hit the distant ground with a metallic crunch and ceased to move.
"There, another pest taken care of" The mage said as he turned and made his way back through the mountain pass. If any visitors showed up looking for a Sir Garret and if normal words failed to make them leave, then he could always convince them another way...
