You decide to go for a movie, something to get your mind off of all the craziness happening. There was this superhero movie you'd been wanting to see but couldn't afford, and you suddenly realise that since you're the "girl" in the date, you won't have to pay.
"A movie sounds great!" you say, keeping your voice high.
"Great, let's see what's on!" Terry's friends make a few gestures to him that are basically equivalent to "you scored", but you politely ignore them.
The two of you head down to the movie theatre while his friends go their own way.
On the way to the theatre, you see the cop, he seems to be looking at you, then quickly looks away almost too innocently. Is he onto you? Wait, will he try looking at surveillance videos? Has he done that already?
Quickly anxious to allay suspicion, you fully play the part of the girlfriend. You hang on Terry's arm and ask about himself, giggling to anything mildly amusing he says. In return he wraps his arm around you and pulls you in tighter. It feels weird but no one will doubt you're anything but a couple now.
Before you know it, you've arrived at the theatre.
