You decided the larger animals might be easier to spot and get to impregnate you. Things like dear, wolves, and other larger animals would have an easier time also noticing you and want to breed with you. You would usually have less, on average just one, babies but longer pregnancies. Though birth would be more painful and harder due to the larger size.
