A barely big enough hole

Tai-lee looked curiously between the two openings, and noticed a light shining through the smaller of them. She got down on her hands and knees and peered through. Her eyes widened as she saw that through the hole was a lush, verdant plain with tall grass, huge trees and a small model village in the centre, resting underneath a large white crystalline stalactite. Tai-Lee inhaled and smelled the delicious scent of fresh baking, along with that of apple-grass and cinnamon. She had her heart set on this hole, and pulled her head out of the hole to examine it.

The hole was by far the smallest in the room which she would be able to squeeze through, but it was barely bigger than her torso; even for her head it had been a close fit! She gave it some thought, before deciding that she...
