As they look up at the scoreboard Lauren sees that her team lost by one point. "Aww, well that's too bad" she says looking and seeing Shannon's face in a look of shock.
"No, No that can't be, we haven't lost a game yet, we can't have lost" She says in almost a bit of a panic as the other girls just stare at the scoreboard seeming to express the same shock and despair that Shannon is expressing.
"Hey Shan, take it easy, I mean I know you said you were undefeated but it's just one loss, and I mean it was still a lot of fun" Lauren says trying to console Shannon as Shannon still just stares, "I know you're competitive and all but seriously its not a big deal" Lauren says as Shannon finally seems to snap out of it and stare at Lauren
"Lauren, it IS a big deal, didn't you read that thing I made you sign we're...well one of us is totally screwed" she says as Lauren just stares, "Umm you mean that release form? What are you talking about?"
Shannon just shakes her head. "Damnit Lauren, this isn't just some normal volleyball league its the most advanced one you can get, when you win...well...you win a special award" she says and Lauren just stares at her blankly. Shannon lets out a sigh. "Okay, I know this sounds weird but in order to make it as competitive as possible after every game the captain of the winning team gets to...well...shrink down someone on the other team and...ummm...keep them" Shannon says while Lauren just chuckles a little bit.
"Okay Shan, I think you've been out in the sun too long, or maybe had a bit too much to drink haha" Lauren says turning around when Shannon grabs her. "Lauren I'm serious...look" she says pointing to another court. Lauren just smiles and decides to humor her looking over at another court and is in shock. Lauren sees a woman in a bikini maybe in her 30s smiling pointing something at what looks like a college age girl. The college girl lets out a little scream and suddenly...she's gone.
"Wait...what the hell..." Lauren says and is suddenly in shock as the 30 year old walks over and reaches down plucking up what looks like a barbie doll only the barbie is...moving? The woman then shoves the girl down into what looks like a beach bag. Lauren then turns and looks at Shannon who still looks concerned but also has an "I told you so" face.
"But...wait...how...what..." Lauren starts to say as Shannon now has to play the role of the relaxing one. "Yeah I know, I told you to read the thing before you sign it. But don't worry, I mean there are 6 of us on the team so the odds are..." Shannon starts to say as Lauren again interrupts her.
"Umm wait a second Shan. Didn't you say you were undefeated?" Lauren looks and Shannon for the first time since the victory gives a little bit of a smile. "Yep, 2-0" Shannon responds as Lauren just keeps staring at her. "2-0? And you're the captain right...does that mean..." Lauren says as Shannon smiles again "If you're asking what I think you're asking then yes...want to meet them?"
