This choice: They are dead, I need to get out of the city. • Go Back...Chapter #4Military attack, the news goes dark. by: The prophet Paul Jackson siting on his living room couch hoped with all of his heart that the military could handle the coming threat, but deep down in his gut, he knew that something bad was happening. Paul Jackson, not being able to help his intense feeling, turns his Tv on, to the channel 5 news. Paul hoped he was wrong, hoped that he was just being paranoid. Paul lived in the small city of RiverLilly for 10 years, and out of all that time nothing has ever happened. Even when this war between humanity and the Zecks began almost a year ago, still nothing happened in this quit town. Heck Paul haven’t even seen a Zeck before, all he knew was that they were really tall or something, in truth Paul wasn’t even entrusted in this war. But today was different, the war was supposedly at his door step, things had changed.
Today was Saturday, or in other words Paul’s day off from work. Today was the day when Paul would stay at home and do nothing in his white t shirt and black boxers, as he watched TV all day, usually that is, but today Paul actually wore close. Paul wore a long sleeve brown shirt, and blue jeans with flip flops on his feet. The only thing that was the same was Paul’s messy uncombed brown hair. Paul didn’t know what was going to happen to the city, for all he knew, the city would be given the evacuation order and he would have to get a move on, therefore he wanted to be ready just in case. Paul glancing out his apartment window sees a myriad of cars filling the streets. It turned out that quite a few people had already decided to leave the city. Paul didn’t know if they were over reacting, or if they were just being smart.
Paul looking on the channel 5 news sees a dozen tanks, and a dozen soldiers armed with their weapons marching towards the enemy. The solders inspired confidence as they ,arched with stern looks on their faces, not even a little fear on their face. Paul admired them for that, he knew that he wouldn’t be so brave.
[“To all the viewers watching this from the comfort of their homes, you can see behind me the brave solders who have been called in to fight the Zeck Menace that has been terrorizing hundreds of cities”]. The news man says pointing towards the solder behind him. Soon the news man stops talking as he puts his hand up to the small device in his ear. Paul knew that the news man was receiving new information.
[“I have just gotten word that their seems to be only one Zeck, I repeat their seems to be only one Zeck solder attacking. Our men should have this raped up before lunch”]. The news man says with a satisfactory smile.
“BOOM!”
The ground begins to rumble with great intensity as a large explosion echoes throughout everybody's ears. Pauls whole apartment begins to shake violently. The news man on the TV falls to the ground long with the soldiers behind him. The camera man must have fallen too because the image on the TV started to Shake out of control. The camera image is focused on the ground, Paul could see how the ground had deep cracks in it, and how it had been upheaved by some great force. The news was being broadcasted a few miles away from the city, so Paul knew that what ever this force was, was powerful enough to make the whole city of RiverLilly and the military feel it.
“BOOM!”
Another explosion vibrates the city, but this explosion was even stronger and louder. Paul’s ceiling began to release dust, seemingly unable to withstand what ever was happening. Paul wasn't the only one who felt the power of these explosions, Paul looking on his TV sees very man broadcasted, fly a few feet into the air before plummeting to the ground a little hurt. The power of these explosions were able to lift them off the ground, only for a few seconds. Paul soon heard a screeching sound coming from outside. Paul carefully getting to his shaking feet walks walks over to his window to see a world in panic. Cars had ether been run off the road, or had crashed into a building or some other sturdy object, the powerful earthquakes preventing them from being able to remain in their lanes. Building where falling apart slowly, from the rubble that was nocked loose from the powerful vibrations, these pieces of Stone fell to the ground with great force cracking the sidewalk or gravely hurting people. But what truly caught Paul’s attention was the huge mountain that toward over the whole city.
Paul knew that what he was looking at wasn’t a mountain of course, it was as big as a mountain, but the last time Paul had checked, mountains didn’t move. Paul could barley make out what stood before him, but he could tell he was looking at a body, a women’s body miles and miles away from where he was at. Paul soon realized that he was looking at a Zeck. Paul knew that a Zeck was large compared to a ordinary human being but this was ridiculous. Large didn’t give them enough credit. Paul could barely make ou the giants women’s face as it was almost in the clouds. Paul could tell that the women had long blond hair that came down to the mid section of her back and white skin. The women was to tall, so Paul couldn't see her eyes that were hidden by her hair. The women wore some kind of advanced body armor, that looked like the kind of armor you would see in SYFY movies. On the women’s waist which was 100s of feet above Paul’s head, rested some kind of gun. Paul continued to look at the gigantic women and realized that she was 100s of miles to his prospective, but to her she was only a few inches away from the city that barley came up to his ankles.
Paul soon remembers the military and the news, and camera man. Paul returning to the living room (not sitting down this time) stares at the TV. The military were busy firing their ammo at the giants right foot. The solders were firing their guns, while the tanks where blasting their cannons.
[“As you viewers from home can see, the enemy has finally arrived, and the military is hard at work to Vanquish this threat”]. The news man says. Paul didn’t know if the man on the news was super brave or stupid, Paul feared the latter.
The camera zooms in on the spot the military was attacking which once again was her right foot, the solders, the news man, and even Paul himself stared in disbelief of the sight before their eyes. The giant women’s foot. Her shoes where completely unharmed. Paul was surprised, and then he wasn’t, to this giantess, these men where nothing but dust, their attacks were nothing to her.
Paul’s apartment begins to rumble as the sight of giggling rocks everyone who hears it to their core. Paul knew where this giggling came from. Their was only one place it could come from. The giant women. The power in the giantesses laugh simply astounded Paul. This women, no goddess could kill with nothing but her breath.
“WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?” The women’s voice shakes every window throughout the whole city
“SOME DUST PARTICLES, TRYING TO GET MY ATTENTION?” The giant women says looking down.
The giant women bends down enough for Paul to get a look at her mile long face. The women was pretty beautiful, and it amazed Paul as to how human she looked, but deep down he knew that she wasn’t human, no she was something else. Paul takes notice of a strange device on the women’s humongous face. The device surrounded her right eye with a green Lens. More advanced tech.
“WELL HUMANS YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION.” The women says with a cold tone 🥶 that shook everyone to their core.
Paul didn’t know what the women was going to do, but he knew he could stay here any longer. For some strange reason the evacuation order wasn’t given to the city, but it didn’t change anything.
“I have to find a way out of the city.”
