Chapter #7Rutt and Tuke helps Koda. by: ph0220   As he looked around frighten Koda could hear the sounds getting closer and closer. He could see in front of him how the bushes were starting to move as the creature was getting through it. At first Koda couldn't see anything but a dark shadowy figure approaching, but as soon the things walked into the moonlight Koda could make out what looked like big horns on the creatures head.
Koda instantly took and felt relieved over that it was just a moose, and even though he was just a lonely cub he know that it wouldn't take and hurt him. Taking a closer look he started to think that this moose looked familiar when he heard the noise of something else coming. Getting through the bushes was another moose, and this one was half-shouting to the other one. "Don't take all the beautiful grass for yourself. Leave some for me!" "Then you have to be much quicker getting here instead of walking so slowly!" The other one said in the same some what loud but still numbed voice. "I have a bad knee and you know it!" The second one said while tottering around like he couldn't see where the other moose stood.
Finally realizing who they where Koda shouted "Rutt and Tuke!", making them both twitch and blink a lot with their eyes. After looking around for some moments the moose's started to ask each other where they were, without the other on knowing the answer. After listening to their bickering for some time Koda shouted "Hey Guys!", making them both see the cub on the ground. "Hey." Koda said polite to them now when they where both looking at him. "Hey I know you." Rutt said, "Yeah aren't you that little bear that was together with that other bear?" Tuke added. "Yes I am." Koda answered happy. "See, I knew it, I knew it. You're that one, little bear...that is named..." Rutt said trying to figure out Koda's name. "Don't be silly now Rutt. We know this bear's name, its...its..." Tuke said before getting lost as well. "Koda", Koda said.
"Yes Koda! Of course! See, I knew it all the time." Rutt said snarky. "Then why didn't you say it then?" Tuke asked back. "Maybe because I would liked to challenge you." Rutt said and was on his way to fight Tuke when Koda asked, "Why are you both out here in the middle of the night?" "I have no idea but I think the reason for Tuke to be here could be because he has been sleepwalking, he does that a lot." Rutt said to Koda. "Oh, Like you hasn't been doing that yourself. Have I ever told you about how many times I have to follow you during the nights to make sure that anything bad will happen to you?" Tuke said back upset. "But you where both talking before, didn't you notice that?" Koda asked confused. "We where talking before getting here? I don't remember that." Tuke said. "Me neither." Rutt added, "So you where both sleepwalking and sleep-arguing when you got here?" Koda asked. "...Seems like so.” Tuke said after thinking for a moment.
"But what has happen to you kid? You're look much more rounder then last time we saw you." Rutt said and poked Koda's belly slightly with one of his hoofs. "I'm just trying to help myself grow and become the biggest bear around." Koda said proud while patting his belly with his front paws. "But how did you manage to feed yourself so much out here all alone?" Tuke asked. "I found these sweet berries that helped me getting the energy to continue eating even though I was already starting to get full, but I need to have more of them if I want to be able to reach full grown bear size." Koda said, "Could you help me find them?" "Sure kid, we would be most happy to help you with anything." Rutt said. "Just tell us what they looked like." Tuke added. "Well they...they..." Koda said before realizing the horrible truth. "Yes?" Both moose's asked eager to hear. "I don't remember." Koda said sadly. "I was soo into eating them that I didn't took the time to remember how they looked like, and now they are all in here." He said and pointed to his stuffed belly. "Well...that's really bad." Rutt said. "Makes it kinda hard to find them then." Tuke added.
After sitting silently for a while Koda asked "Would it be possible for you two to help me back home to Kenia and the others?" to them. At first the moose's looked prepared to answer "YES! Of Course! Just Follow US!", but then suddenly something hit them in the same sad way as the berries had done to Koda. "What is it?" Koda asked prepared for the worst. "We are actually not very used to walk around the forest during night." Tuke said. "Since we usually use it to well...sleep." Rutt added. "So that means that we two are both..." Tuke said, before Koda finished "Lost". "Yes." Rutt said, "We are all three right now lost." "Then what do we do now? Koda asked worried. "Do not fear little bear, Tuke and I will be here to make sure that you're safe." Rutt said. "And then tomorrow we start searching for the way back to your bear friends." Tuke added.
The two moose's then took and lied themselves next to Koda to protect him during the night.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
