Chapter #6Towards victory and awkwardness by: Shireon77   Despite the slight nauseous feeling that working along with Irasthuiroe for a long period of time give me, i do need the gold for my experiment, and maybe if i am lucky he will be my opponent, and finally i can shut him up

His smile return: "You won't regret it, promise!" If i get to fight you, i won't
We both walk towards the western part of the city, where the arena is located, we could fly there but i think that we both need some time to think, i know that he is a fan of the fight kept in there but, i believe that this time he is trying to impress someone. I shouldn't ask really, but i am curious by nature so
With a cheerful tone: "Sooo Ira, who's the female?" He jump a little, but then continue walking like nothing happened: "What are you talking about?"
Why nothing, it's so hard to guess, returning to my normal tone: "The female that you want to impress, Ira, it's quite obvious really"
He continue to walk, ignoring me. Then i try to see his reaction by saying something mostly nonsensical: "It's that human you have talked me about? The captain of the southern walls? How she was called..tar..no..eh treae..no...Theresa!"
He stop and suddenly turn around to face me, in a nearly panicked tone: "Why don't you scream louder!? I think that the gryphon in the mountain didn't hear you!"...really? Wow!
My surprise can be easily recognized in my voice: "Rally? A human...i would have never guessed that you...."
He calm down: "..Yes, i admit it ok? I...like her, a lot" I could have swear that some of his scales has become red
I continue with a friendly tone: "What's the problem? There is no law against it and most human accept interspecies relationships, or at least the one in this continent"
He chuckle lightly: "I know but, have you seen her? She is so...i don't know, special...and.." He is smitten alright
"So that's was the arena is all about? Hoping to attract her attention with fame and glory?"
He answer looking at me straight in the eyes, without hesitation: "Yes" Without another word he resume walking towards the arena.
I am speechless, Ira in love? With a human no less! Well i admit that stranger thing has happened, but..this i didn't see it coming
I too resume walking and reaching him: "Look there is nothing wrong in.." He interrupt me
"I know! But.." his tone become sad: "She will never notice me, too busy with her work, And why don't you guess who is in charge for the most effective dragon-kicker regiment in the city"
Well then, Ira, you are fucked: "So she can kick you sorry ass whenever she want?"
He recover his normal tone: "Probably, but that's not the point" No no, i think that that's IS exactly the point
"And Impressing her in the arena will gain her affection?"
He answer with an hopeful tone: "No necessarily, but i have heard that she like the arena, especially the ^finale^ when it happen"
Splendid, a dragon-kicker and a perv too? Definitely his perfect mate: "She like to see a female dominated in the arena grounds? How often it happen anyway?"
His tone become serious and determined: "Not often, i think..1 every 12 match maybe more. As for the dominated part...i have no idea, but i think thats it's the opposite"
...Kinky much?: "So you prefer to stay under wh.." He stop again and embarrassingly turn towards me: "No! Absolutely.." i look at him with incredulity, and he relent.
With a sheepish smile "..Maybe?"....oh
I recover from my stupor and resume my walk, he closely follow: "Well..that's....your choice, if you agree with it, then who am i for telling how to enjoy your sexual relationship. I still think that the very idea is a little ridiculous but...whatever"   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
