Lucario gently sets you down on the ground, then closes her eyes, smiling all the while. She seems to concentrate had, and her body shudders slightly as she begins to slowly shrink. Lucario slowly diminishes in size, shrinking from her previously massive size to forty feet... Thirty feet... Twenty feet...
... And then ten feet, exactly. Lucario's smile is replaced with an expression of confusion as she tries to shrink down the smaller, yet still large sizes - she's probably have aimed for around seven and a half feet tall, as she could still easily interact with you, but easily protect you from most dangers at that size. She sighs slightly and opens her eyes again, the large red irises giving you a look that was warm, loving, and sympathetic, all at the same time.
"I'm sorry, but I can't get any smaller than this for some reason..." She trails off as you look all the way up at her. Even if she was much smaller than before, she was still massive! Still, this was a lot better than her being able to hold you in a single palm. While you expected to be able to handle Lucario being so big, maybe even far bigger, eventually, that would take time, even if she was your guardian, and only wanted to protect you.
Smiling, Lucario easily picks you up in her arms, giving you another hug. As opposed to the horror and fear you had felt before, this one felt warm, and... Nice...
Lucario giggles softly upon realising you had fallen asleep while hugging her. Protectively clutching your sleeping form close to her, she decided what to do next...
