the game you just can't win

You go up to the change your age game and think "hey i can pull this off" you are kinda tall for a guy who just graduated from highschool.
The man running the game says "you sir would you like to play?" you then reply with a loud yes. "Okay so if you win you get a prize if you lose you lose time" says the man you dont know what that means but you still decide to play any ways "sir please pick a number between your one and your real age" says the man you start to think and choose ........... "okay i have a number" you say. "allright sir are you 17?" the man asks. "Yes" you reply sadlly the then flips a switch and you start to feel a strange tingle. You then realize what he ment by lose time
