Chapter #5Yes by: alda   You still can't believe what happened. Your wife is now in Gracie Parker's body. 45 years old, 5 years older than Sarah. Single, She has never been married. You know exactly who she is because she is your neighbor. Sarah and Gracie hated each other, you could say they were like mortal enemies. Every time you hear your wife complain about Gracie's behavior. Even though it is said to be an enemy, your wife is better in many ways. Unlike your wife who keeps her diet and body in shape, Gracie is overweight. With fat boobs, big belly and round buttocks that can't hide an unhealthy lifestyle. Your wife said that she accidentally caught her eating 10 burgers in one meal. Besides that she is a heavy smoker, cigarettes are always in her mouth or hands whenever you accidentally see her.
Her lifestyle is one thing. But what was even worse was her behavior. Everyone knows that she used to be a slut in her young age. Always partying late into the night. This caused her to have several children without knowing who the father was. Your guess is about 5 or 6. But that still didn't stop her. In her mid-old age ,you hear news that she sometimes brings young man into her house. The last time she had children was about a year ago.
You feel bad about this fact. If you can choose you will look for a better body. But you have no choice.

You sit in the hospital chair in front of the ICU. You just had a terrible accident when a truck hit the car driven by you and Sarah, your wife. You didn't have any serious injuries yourself, just a few cuts and bruises around the chest. a little treatment then you are allowed to leave the room. What's worse is your wife. The truck hit the side of your wife's seat hard. Immediately taken to the operating room.
You are afraid of anything that could happen. This is the lowest point in your life, when your wife might be gone forever. You're just frozen this whole time. Not long after, two doctors, one older who was bald and the other was still quite young around 30s.
"Doctor, how is my wife's condition?" You said frantically. Staring at the older doctor.
"Are you the husband of one of the victims?" You concluded that he wasn't the only one who had an accident.
"Yeah, my wife Sarah Baker". The doctor then looked at his co-worker, seeming hesitant to answer your question. The younger doctor looked reluctant too.
Caught that as bad news. "Isn't my wife saved? Doctor please save Sarah" You begged.
The young doctor spoke up. "Your wife can still be saved, but there are a few complications." You are a little relieved by the news. "Then what's the problem?"
"Let's talk somewhere else" said the bald doctor, from his nametag you know his name was Dr Smith.
We entered what you believe to be the office of one of them.
"Very well Mr. Baker, as my colleague said your wife is still likely to be saved, but we have to perform a brain transplant operation on your wife."
"Brain transplant?" This is the first time you have heard the name of this surgical procedure. From the name like you'd guessed some sort of brain removal surgery or something.
"Let me be clear, I am Dr. Connors and my colleague Dr. Smith over the last few years developing experiments on the nervous system of the brain and its relationship to human consciousness. Finally we figured out how to transfer a person's consciousness into a person's body by transplanting a part of the brain into the body's donor head. . " The younger Dr. explained proudly.
You are still trying to understand what the doctor meant. So they're going to transfer Sarah to someone else's body. Crazy. This sounds like a science fiction scene.
"Then what does this have to do with my wife?"
"Your wife has severe bodily damage. Her body can barely support life anymore. However, her brain is still in an optimal state. Therefore we recommend this operation"
"Is there no other way?"
Dr. Connors shook his head. "Unfortunately no, we have tried our best. But her chances of survival are very slim"
"Then whose body will be used"
Dr. Smith then looked at the paper he was carrying. "Gracie Parker. A middle-aged woman. She was in the same accident as you guys. She 's car hit the back of your car so that her head hit the steering wheel of the car. Blood vessels in her head burst and died on the spot. But her body is in good condition. We are did the test and her body is a perfect match to be a donor for Mrs Baker. "
"I know who she is. Isn't there a better body". There's no way Sarah wants to be her arcenemies.
"Sorry Mr. Baker. Although it is not the best choice, only Mrs. Parker's body is available. We will use someone else's body if there is one. If there is another body it is not certain that it will match Mrs. Baker. Besides, we have to perform this operation immediately because your wife does not. have plenty of time, "explained Dr. Connors.
You are still heavy with this decision. But Sarah didn't have much time. You're not ready to lose your wife you've married for many years.
"Okay doctor do the operation"
