Seven's gaze fell upon what she recognized as a puffy, white disposable diaper. She had seen adult disposable diapers before in sick bay, but the medical-grade diapers issued by Starfleet were thin and discreet. What was currently strapped around her waist was so thick and obtrusive that it forced her to spread her legs slightly. Further differentiating the garment from the ones in sick bay was a pattern of rubber duckies marking the top half.
Seven of Nine returned her attention to Q Junior.
"Why have you replaced my uniform with a diaper?" she queried.
Q Junior once more laughed at the flat, collected question coming from a grown woman standing before him dressed like an infant.
"Do you remember our first meeting, Seven?" asked the young Q. "With a snap of my fingers, I evaporated the clothes right off of you, and yet you showed no response at all. With my amusement denied I simply put your catsuit back where it was and went to make my fun elsewhere. But that incident has gnawed at me since then. What sort of omnipotent overseer of the universe am I supposed to be if I can't even get under the skin of one mortal?"
Seven raised an eyebrow at Q Junior.
"So you believe that by simply choosing different attire for me, you will succeed at causing me embarrassment where you once failed? I regret to inform you that I have several spare uniforms right here at my alcove to change into. Furthermore, I work alone here in the cargo bay, with no one else to view your handy work, so your attempt at "getting under my skin" is in vain."
A devious smirk crept onto Q Junior's face.
"Don't assume my new idea is so simple." said Q Junior. "You seem to have made two assumptions. One, that you'll be able to hide in here forever. And two, that you'll be able to actually change back into your other uniforms."
Seven of Nine looked, puzzled, toward her closet, which appeared to be in its normal spot.
She turned back toward Q Junior and began to ask, "Why would I be prevented from changing back into my--" but stopped when she realized he had vanished.
