Fred's mother had kissed him on the lips many times before. But all those times, she had only kissed him the way a mother kisses her son to show she cares for him and is there for him. This time when she kissed him, she was conveying much more than her usual motherly love. This time, she was kissing him with what could only have been passion.
Fred did not expect this at all. He loved his mother greatly, and he knew she loved him just as much in return. He never suspected that she may have loved him in a way a mother is not supposed to love her son. Initially, the thought of that made him feel profusely uncomfortable. The kiss made him feel somewhat uneasy, as well.
However, this uneasiness only lasted a few moments. After that, Fred started to look past the barrier that separated him and Alyssa as son and mother. He could not deny that his mother was a tender and kind woman; not to mention a wonderful kisser. Secretly, he used to have fantasies about him and her where they were not related. For obvious reasons, he had never brought them up to anyone.
Now, it would appear as though he would actually have a chance to live out one of those fantasies.
Fred closed his eyes and returned the kiss passionately. Alyssa took this as a sign that he was not rejecting her approach. She slowly raised her right hand up to his face and softly caressed his cheek. This was a rather soothing gesture.
Fred returned the favor by wrapping his arms around his mother. He glided one of his hands up and down her back gently. She lightly sighed in contentment.
After about a minute of this, they came apart for air. They gazed lovingly into each others' eyes. Ultimately, Alyssa broke the silence by saying "Let's have some fun today. Just the two of us while the twins are sleeping."
Fred smiled in approval and patted his mother's diapered bottom, saying "I'd like that very much."
She smiles, too, and rubbed her son's diaper softly. Then she said "First things first, though..."
