"It looks like we need to get out four diapers this morning," Alyssa said, looking at Fred standing by the piles of folded diapers in the nursery, "One for Rick, one for Velma, and two to put on Fred."
Fred was taken completely off-guard by this statement. He turned to his mother in alarm. Alyssa just looked him straight in the eye and told him "Go back to your room while I change the babies; I'll be in to diaper you in a jiffy."
Fred wanted to protest, but his mother appeared to mean business. So he went back to his room and didn't have long to wait. A couple minutes later, Alyssa came briskly into his room. She stripped off her son's clothes and laid out two very large folded diapers on his bed. As she lifted Fred up and lay him down on top of the diapers she said, "First we put the baby on the diapers."
And as she pulled the padding up between his legs she added,"Then we put the diapers on the baby!"
As she pinned his diapers snug over his left hip she looked down at him and said, "It looks like mommy has three babies now."
Then she pinned the left side of his diapers snug and tight over his right hip.
Next she lifted Fred off the bed and took him by the hand and led him over to the full-length mirror on the closet door. She grinned and announced happily "Just look at you - Mommy's little diaperboy!"
And there Fred was, reflected in the mirror wearing nothing but two snow white baby diapers.
