"I'm not!" James said indignantly. He suspected that George was only teasing him, though he was equally blunt with the truth as he was when mocking someone. James had recently taken a particular liking to sugary deserts, and had unsurprisingly actually gained a few of pounds; the lack of any exercising meant this weight was almost certainly all fat. Though it was by no means visible.
George stood up and squeezed onto the chair next to James. "Man, your easy to mock" George chuckled.
"I can never tell when your teasing or, or just being tactless" James explained.
George laughed, "I was partly being tactless" He added "you have started to get podgy" with his right hand he pinched about an inch of James belly, illustrating that his stomach had now gotten a small amount of fat on it, despite his very slender body.
James pushed Georges hand aside and placed his hand on his stomach, he was actually surprised by the amount of flab on his belly, he could feel that his stomach felt quite soft; at his age he should really be exercising and toning up his upper body. For that reason pointing out that his George was chubbier, was pointless. It didn't matter nearly as much at Georges age, even though when he was that age James had been very slender. "I'm still slender" was all James said, patting his chest.
"Cousin John is well toned, and he's a few months younger than you" George said.
"He is?" James asked
"Yeah... how do you not know? He's always spending leisure time shirtless" George explained "I guess he likes to show off."
Come to think of it he did know, despite rarely seeing cousin John exercise he could remember seeing just how well toned he was, John had a model physique and was likely far fitter than James.
