You decide to take the box to your friend Jimmy, he has been your best friend your whole life and you know he will love this. You grab the box and head towards his house.
On the way to Jimmy's house you can't help but feeling excited and thrilled about the thought of the device you now possess and the thought of it actually working as the note said.
Arriving at Jimmy's house you meet Jimmy's mom in the front yard. "Hi Mrs Wilson" You greet her.
"Hello, David!" She greets you back smiling. "Jimmy is upstairs in his room, head on in."
"Okey, thanks." You said and walk into the house and up to Jimmy's room.
Jimmy is sitting in his couch playing on his xbox when you enter. "Sup bro?" Jimmy says casually, not moving his eyes away from the tv screen.
"Hey man, watcha doing?" You reply and sit down next to jimmy.
"Playing soccer, du-uh. what does it look like." he says sarcastically.
You roll your eyes. "Yeah.. funny. Anywho... I came over to show you this." You say and pick up the box from your pocket and throw it on Jimmy's lap. "It suddenly appeared on my front door today, no sender."
Jimmy picks up the box looking a bit puzzled. "What is this?" he asks and examines it closer. "Costume set..?" he mumbles to himself, opens it up and picks up the pen.
"Okey, a pen?" He asks and looks at you with a curios face.
"Yeah.. sure looks like a pen but..." You then tell him about the note, how you tested it as a laser pen and about the buzzing sound.
"Freaky..." he says frowning as he studies the pen closer. "Well.. that just sounds to... science fiction to be honest."
"But why would it just appear in front of your house? and who sent it?" he asks eagerly. Clearly a little excited about the whole thing, looking up from the pen and then on you.
"Beats me" You say shrugging your shoulders.
"Well then, even though the whole thing seems stupid and unreal, we should still try it!" He says eagerly.
