The start of a new adventure in the Hoenn region was an exciting feeling for the young trainer May. Or at least it had been, after a few months into her journey May had made it to Mauville city home of the game corner, basically a casino. After having spent tons of money gambling May saw that she no longer had enough to buy pokeballs, potions, anything!
So as any trainer normally would do she went out into the wild to find battles to hopefully win more poke. Soon the brunette girl stumbled upon a batch of berry trees. Plucking a fruit of the tree she began to eye it fervently. Normally she'd save these for her pokemon but this berry looked especially appetizing.
"Well one berry couldn't be toooo bad. I'll pick this one for myself and save the other three for later." May had said to herself before taking a chomp of the fruit.
"My Arceus this is delicious!" the trainer said before downing the whole thing.
After having bested some trainers and earning more money May found herself back in Mauville before feeling a strange sensation coming on.
