"Yeah, Shawn. Is that a problem? I mean, I know you like Batman and all, so I thought this would be the closest you would get to playing him."
With a heavy sigh and a shake of his head, Shawn answered Rebecca.
"Fine. That's fine."
"Shawn, you DO know that this is likely to be a big hit at the box office, right? They're not doing the campy 1950's version, they're doing the Greg Rucka and J.H Williams III Batwoman. It's quality stuff, Shawn. I have the graphic novel right here in front of me."
"It's not that, Becca. I just think that Lady Luck hates me."
Shawn could here Rebecca laughing over the phone.
"Dude, you're going to make a bundle on this project. If the movie is successful and becomes a franchise, do you have any idea how famous this will make us?"
Shawn had a fantasy of swimming in a pool full of greenbacks.
"Fine...fine. What does the actress look like?"
"I'll send you a picture of the main actress in costume after I hang up so you can get yourself ready and to help psych yourself up. I'll be there at this first meeting but after that you're off to go practice stunts and shoot the film and you'll be on your own for the most part."
"When's the first meeting?"
"Today at 5 PM."
"TODAY! Jesus Becca, you could have given me two days notice."
"We don't have two days notice. Shooting begins next week!"
"Fine. Thanks for everything Becca, you're a life saver."
"I know." Rebecca said, "Good luck cousin, and remember to not make yourself into an exact twin of the main actress, just similar enough to satisfy the director."
The cousins said their goodbye as Shawn went to the bathroom to get ready for the day while he waited for the picture. He brushed his teeth and with an unusual vigor as he just stared down at his phone until finally it gave off a chime meaning he'd gotten the text. He finished gargling some mouthwash and picked up his phone to take a look at the form he'd have to base a body off of.
