One night, tranquil as any other, crickets chirping in the lawns, moths fluttering around the street lamps, nary a noise of civilization nor a sight of a person, but no pleasantry lasts for very long, even though this one ended rather abruptly, the near silence of the night broken by a sharp wail…
As had been happening for the past few months, the peaceful home of the Lace’s was disrupted by their youngest and coincidentally loudest member. The one in question was Abigail, the now three-year-old girl who had for whatever the reason developed quite the habit for throwing tantrums and loud ones at that. Now this wouldn’t be as much of a problem if the upsets were over understandable things, such as being ignored or left out, even if it was only that she didn’t get want she wanted, but no, as far as the rest of the family could tell there wasn’t any reason, so as would any, they were getting undeniably annoyed, and were notably determined to end them. Though even if they were determined, how would they solve it?
They went through an assortment of possible solutions including, but undoubtedly not limited to, ignoring, scolding, or even spoiling the young banshee, but to no avail, the tantrums continued to happen ensuring that none of the home’s residents had any enjoyable days. Eventually, the insufferable young girl’s father realized something, when she’s eating or sleeping, she’s quiet, this revelation led Will to an idea.
Why not keep her eating until she falls asleep?
At that thought, the exhausted father felt what had begun to become a foreign feeling, hope, hope that his daughter’s tantrums could actually be prevented, but, he had to ask his wife Sara first to make sure she was okay with it. Deciding to go see what set off his daughter this time Will left the room, hoping his wife would accept his desperate solution…
