Lucy wants to start seriously spoiling Maddie

"I feel bad for how hard I've been on you lately, and since you've been doing so well at school, well, I was wondering if you'd let me start spoiling you for a while, as a reward?" It was a strange request and Lucy was clearly aware of this, her face flushing a little red at asking.

"In what way Mom?" Maddie asked innocently.

"Well, I guess I just wouldn't put as much pressure on you to do well in school, you can eat what you want when you want, and you wouldn't have to go to your tutor's at the weekend."

"Hmmmmm." Maddie didn't sound convinced.

"A-And you can stop going to cheer-leading and soccer practice if you want, I know you don't really enjoy it."

"Oooh okay!" Maddie replied her face suddenly lighting up, "That sounds fun, how long would this be for?"

"Well, let's give it a month, and we'll see from there." Lucy's excitement matched her daughter's,

"A month?" Maddie was giddy, "This is going to be wonderful, Mom."

Maddie sat happily on the couch later that night eating her second chocolate bar that night. Her mom never previously would have allowed this, but she felt like she could get used to it.

"What's for dinner Mom?" She called out.
