Chapter #4

Trusting a friend

    by: Wokod Author IconMail Icon
Angie looked at the dictaphone, trying to understand what was happening This thing changed the swimsuit... and except me, nobody seems to care... whatever I record in must become the truth ! she thought, wondering about all the possibilities she had but... still, Lucy was her best friend : she HAD to tell her. But how ?

Maybe If I use the dictaphone... she thought, pushing the record button "Lucy and I are the only ones aware of the changes made by the dictaphone". And as soon as she had said that, next to her, Lucy seemed to jump briefly before turning to Angie and whispering, trying not to sound crazy "Angie ? What the... look at my swimsuit, it changed into this !". The smaller girl smiled proudly, showing the dictaphone in her hand "I told you : whatever I record in this becomes the truth. I've just recorded something so you'd be aware of the changes too... I can't be this lucky and not share a gift like this one with my best friend, can I ?"

Immediately, Lucy embraced her friend, the rest of the class frowning, unable to understand the reason of the sudden move.

"Damn Angie, you're the best friend a girl can have ! Will you really share this with me ?
- Of course... I trust you. Let's make our lives better !
- Yeah, sure but... how ?
"

They were stopped as someone knocked loudly on the door of the locker-room. "Come on girls, hurry up ! Time to swim !" said the coach's voice, seconds before the first girls opened the door to leave, their swimsuits ready.

"We can't bring this in the water... do we have to wait after class to use it ? - said Angie, disappointed
- Angie, Angie... stop panicking about everything, especially when you have a new toy like this one. Don't worry, I've got this : lend me the recorder, please"

Looking at the door and back at her friend, Angie dropped the dictaphone in her Lucy's hand with a quick "I trust you !". The goth girl grinned, studying the device. "Got you back, Angie. Consider that you have a guardian angel !". But then, the coach appeared again at the door, yelling "Come on, move ! Even you, the geek !". Panicked, Angie just said "Yes !" with panic in her voice and after quickly finishing putting her swimsuit on, left the locker-room. Lucy, still there, sighed : Angie was so shy and quick to obey anyone yelling at her...

But things change...

You have the following choices:

1. Lucy helps her friend

2. Sorry, Angie : Lucy keeps the dictaphone for her...

3. Something else

4. Lucy cancels school for today!
