This choice: Random things happen at school • Go Back...Chapter #4Random things happen at school by: Unknown Angie made her way on the bus, nearly out of breath. After being delayed by the Dictaphone accident, she had to run at full speed to get there. She stepped on the bush, and was greated by mouths dropping down and eyes staring at her. Her face was red and she grinned a tiny bit. "I had one heck of a growth spurt last night..." she tried to play off what had happened, since she wasn't even sure herself.
She took her usual seat next the her goth friend Lucy. They looked at each other. "HOLY SHIT ANGIE!" Lucy said in a excited whisper. "HOW DID YOU GET SO TALL!"
Angie bit her lip and then looked away from Lucy. "I honestly don't know." She quietly told Lucy about what had happened this morning, from the tripping, to the breaking the Dictaphone, to her sudden growth. Lucy sat there quietly listening to her friend. The explanation took up the remaining drive to school. The got off the bus and started to walk into the school. Both girls sighed when they heard a voice that only could mean trouble.
"What the hell happened to you Marsh. Step into some type of radiation?" Vanessa taunted the much taller Angie. Angie turned to face Vanessa, for the first time face to face.
"Shut up! I can't help it that my body decided to grow over night. Vanessa how would you feel if you where a 5 foot tall flat chested girl."
"Pft whatever girl." Vanessa said, a bit intimidated by Angie's new size.
"Then I could said 'Look its Vanessa, the flat shorty!' " Angie said.
Suddenly Vanessa was feeling funny. She felt as if Angie was slowly towering over her more and more. She looked around, something was wrong her friends seemed a bit taller and more intemidating to her too. Her eye's locked on a face, their eyes where wide, focused in on her. She felt something slip loose in her pants, as she shifted her weight, a bra strap came loose. She looked down at herself... HOLY SHIT I AM SHRINKING! She thought.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME!" Vanessa barked up at Angie, "YOU BETTER FIX THIS NOW OR I WILL GET MY DADDY!"
"I don't know what I did!" Angie confused, realizing all the students where looking at her and backing away from her, except Lucy, who was laughing so hard, she was leaning over. Angie grabbed Lucy's hand and ran off into the school. They could hear shouts of anger following them, as Angie tried to hide tall body in the crowd of students.
Angie pulled Lucy into the restroom, and was leaning on the door so nobody else could follow. She looked at Lucy, a mixture of fear and tears filling her eyes! "I have no idea whats happening Lucy I am afraid."
"Are you kidding that was funny stuff back there!"
"I am serious, what if I really did something terrible, I have to learn what is going on."
Angie pondered a few moments, and then remembered the Note with the Dictaphone, she slipped it out of her pocket and looked at it. Its visible cracks running through it.
"What if..." Angie wondered. She pressed the play button. She heard a faded voice, about growing up. Followed up about one of Vanessa being a short flatty. " OMG, THIS IS IT." She nearly blurted.
"Huh..."
"the Dictaphone it alters related. It must be broken from me setting the books on it, so it records things at random..." Angie explained.
"Oh my goodness that explains a lot." Lucy agreed.
"What am I going to do with this..."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
