The scent of smoke outside the hallway of your apartment immediately sets you into action. With great haste, you dash out of your quaint room following the location of the rising haze. "What's happening!?" you shout gazing about in confusion as the sounds of coughing emerge from within your kitchen. "S-Sorry Master." A feminine voice calls out as your smoke alarm beams out it's annoying obnoxious sounds. "I was just trying to cook lunch and-" "You tried to use flamethrower again,,," you finish the sentence as you shake your head in slight irritation. "Hold on a sec." you mutter approaching the kitchen window before prying it open and wafting out the smoke.
The smoke slowly begins to make it's way out into the open as the voice from earlier gives off a small scoff. "I'm sorry, I thought it would work this time." As the fumes begin to clear out of the kitchen, you turn your head to gaze upon your vulpix, Vix, who was trying her best to wipe off some soot from her body. With her being a pokemorph, her body was that of a human, with the exception of her head and furry form. Six large tails wiggled behind as she shakes her rather short orange hair to get cleaned off from the blast.
"I thought we talked about this before." you scold. "Try to use the oven's normal heat, don't use your fire abilities to warm up food." "But." Vix retorts. "I wanted to try and make you something for lunch. Quickly, she places to checkered patterned mittens on her hands before presenting the burnt pot. "See." She states while lowering it to show the contents inside, or what looked like contents. "I was trying to make stew...but, it didn't seem to work out." "I can tell." you reply, still a bit irked by her actions. "I-I'm sorry master." she repeats once more looking down ashamed. "I didn't mean for this to happen..."
A long sigh makes its way out of your mouth as you try to calm yourself. "It's alright...just...don't try and do that again. This is the third time this has happened you know?" "I know..." she mutters as her pointy ears perk downwards. "And, I appreciate you trying to make something for lunch." you add, trying to at least make her feel not too down by her actions. "Right." she smiles slightly before placing down the pot. "While we get this smoke out, how about we order something instead for now?" you insist, seeing as how the kitchen might be smelling like charred wood for a while now. "Sounds good." Vix nods as she slowly begins to regain some of her composure.
It wasn't too long until an order of Chinese cuisine was setting before the living room table as both you and Vix begin to chow down. "So." you begin before gulping down a bit of noodles. "Where'd you find this recipe?" you ask. "Oh, I found it in this month's pokemon magazine. Chef Slowbro is one of the best out there." Vix exclaims as she begins to slurp up some noodles. "Well that's interesting." you admit taking the moment to stuff your face once more. "Oh!" she exclaims. "I almost forgot. " Quickly, she places her right hand into her shorts to fish out an odd looking vial. "I also got this as well." she states.
"What's that?" you ask, growing at the odd container while trying to make out it's contents. "Well...it's from the magazine as well." she says with a smile. "Do you follow everything that's in the magazine?" you ask, stupefied by how almost everything she tries comes from that piece of published paper. "No, this was from an advertisement actually." she replies back. "An advertisement?...just who is it from?" You ask growing more curious about what that odd vial was. "Well, it was from a group of clefairy's. I think it's called Minimize me." Vix explains while taking a moment to gaze at the containter with her amber eyes.
"Minimize...me?" you mutter, lowering your plate in confusion. "Just what does it do?" you ask as Vix's face only manages to grow even more excited by your question. "Well..." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
