As a pokemon trainer it was your dream to beat the champion and become the champion of Unova. Yet even when you spent hours training, battle trainer after trainer till finally the last champion pokemon fell you suddenly felt lost. Crowned as the champion of Unova you soon found your journey returning you to the women who gave you this chance, Professor Juniper.
She was still in her lab in Nuvema Town researching where all pokemon came from and when you arrived back you seem to find yourself more and more helping the professor with her task. Perhaps it wasn't as much as a thrill as battling pokemon but you seemed to settle into it. Delivering parcels and scouting out old ruins became second nature to you and your pokemon as day in and out the professor sent you out.
Still one summers afternoon as the professor was hard at work, you came back from a errand she had sent you on to deliver a parcel to the docks.
"I'm back Professor." You say as you shut the lab's front door behind you. It felt strange really you never thought that when you became champion you'd be working with professor Juniper it was odd but good in a way. However before you could dive into your inner thoughts you heard the professor call back.
"Oh great you have to see this!"
You make you way through the front room of the lab to a main lab at the back of the building to find the professor looking into a Pokémon fossil using microscope.
"You must see this." she says almost forcing your head onto the microscope. Trying not to back you head, you carefully look down to see that on the fossil was a mixture of different coloured grain of sands.
"What does it mean?" you ask only to have Juniper shout, "It a timeline. The grain are from each different period of time and if we can identify them and their age we might be on break through here!"
You smile as Professor Juniper begin to quick assign her team members different jobs as you merely stood there watching. It had been quite the afternoon and as the moon finally rose into the sky you and Professor Juniper where outside on the lab balcony talking about todays find.
"You know without you, I don't think we'd ever have found those samples." Juniper said to you leaning on the balcony. You merely reply you were just happy to help after all you could say she made you what our are being the champion and all.
"Well either way thank you, you've help me a lot" Juniper said finally looking at you. However it was then you both fell silent as you stared into each other eyes. You couldn't help but stare into Juniper's emerald green eyes, they made you happy. Perhaps it was love or maybe this is what friendship is like when it at it best.
Still finally breaking away, you hear Juniper sigh.
"What's wrong Professor?" you ask wondering what had made her sigh. She turned to you and with a small smile said. "Your not young man anymore. Your not the same child I sent on his journey, you've grown and become a trainer of great power and maturity. "
You blushed feeling a little embarrassed the professor had such nice things to say about you. However she then asked said.
"Tell me before I do something stupid and something I may regret. I have to know if you really understood your journey. Tell me, what is it that you learn about yourself, your Pokémon and everyone you met on your journey?"
You felt you knew the answer, however it was difficult to say it. But building up your courage you answered her...
