As Steve entered the hallway, he jumped in shock as his mother, Kady appeared right in front of him. Needless to say, she seemed quite surprised as well, judging by her expression. "Sorry." The young man said, only to earn a chuckle. Kady patted his shoulder as she said reassuringly, "It's okay, kiddo."
She had a towel around her, which meant that she was probably getting ready to take a shower.
