"Looks like we did good Hank," Lewis said as he checked the coins.
"Good timing," Hank said. "The Bladesmiths were in need of that particular kind of steel; got a couple of people joining the Professional Core."
"Their needs are our lifeline," Lewis chuckled as he pocketed the money.
"Good," Hank said. "I want the two of you back here in five hours for your Watch Shift."
"But our shift isn't for six hours," said Obi.
"Maybe so," Hank said. "But I want you sober for it."
"Understood," Lewis said. "Come on Obi."
Soon enough, the two of them were outside of a Red Light establishment, which looked peaceful on the outside, but past experience warned them that it was otherwise. The two of them walked in, and their ears were bombarded with noise from piano music, the hooting and hollering of men and women, all of which were having a good time, enjoying a drink, playing cards, watching the show, and more than a few dancing, or trying to.
"My kind of place," Lewis said as the two of them walked to a rabbit clerk by a set of stairs. "My friend and I would each like a shave, a hot shower, and a woman."
The clerk nodded. "One gold coin apiece."
"That's generous," Lewis said as he and Obi got out the coins. "Of course, you'd best make sure that one of them is a human, preferably one that's clean, if you catch my drift."
The clerk took a look at them, and noticed Obi's black gloves. "I see; the showers are marked separate, one for Unimmune, and one for all others."
"Good to know," Obi said.
"Of course, they are Unisex," the clerk said. "So don't get an ideas about catching a freebie."
Lewis chuckled. "We won't."
"Good," the clerk said. "We'll see to it that your clothes are washed and cleaned for you when you're done. Room 23 for you, and 24 for you."
"That's good to hear," Lewis chuckled as he took his key.
Soon enough, Lewis was sighing in pleasure has the warm water fell on him; few things could beat out a good shower, except bedding down a good woman. Once he was good and wet, he came over to a chair, where a tiger man was waiting with a straight razor.
"Do you want a clean shave, or do you want to keep some of it?" the barber asked.
"A clean shave is fine," Lewis said.
The tiger applied the cream to Lewis's face, scrapped the blade against a strip of leather. He then began shaving, occasionally stopping to scrap the blade against the leather, to make sure that the blade was good.
Afterwards, Lewis was enjoying the warm water again, and scrubbing himself with a flower-scented soap. It just felt good to be truly clean. When he was done, he wrapped a towel around his waist, and looked into a mirror. "I look good."
"That you do," the barber said, as he prepared for his next customer, a lion with a mane that needed a trim.
Lewis then stepped out into the hallway, and saw Obi, who likewise had a towel around his waist. Obi unlocked the door before him, and Lewis saw a redheaded woman.
"Have fun." Lewis chuckled. He then opened his own door, and saw that his woman was a
