Climb off your bed and try to get somewhere not...

Seizing the opportunity to be discovered, you slide off your blanket onto the ground. The mangy carpet cushions your fall, kicking up a cloud of dirt. You think to yourself that you really must clean the place more often. Your mother was still picking at your laundry basket, separating the whites from colors. You make your way across the room, looking for the idea place to make yourself visible. Your dresser was the tallest thing in your room. It would get you closest to eye level. There was also your office chair. Not quite as tall, but it was right next to your mother and the laundry basket. She’d be sure to notice you there! Then again, she was pretty engrossed in her housework. Who’s to say she wouldn’t just walk right past you or worse yet, walk into you while going along with her chores? Perhaps the better course of action would be to walk our the door and seek help from another family member. With the these options circling your head, you chose…
