"Hey there, sexy," You say as you sashay up to Jason.
Jason is completely caught off guard. He stutters incoherently for a second before greeting you. The two of you are making googly eyes at each other while Sarah and Tommy are looking at each other in embarrassment.
"I need a date for Prom," You say, leaning up closer to Jason. "And I think that you're the kind of guy that needs to take me."
You start to bite your lower lip as you look up at Jason. He is clearly putty in your hands.
"Sure," Jason agrees. "On the condition that Sarah and Tommy can double-date with us."
The more you think about it, the more it sounds like a bad idea.
"That's too bad, I was hoping to spend alone time with you afterwards," You reply as you grab Sarah's arm and begin to walk away.
"What did you do that for?" Sarah yells at you when you are out of earshot of the boys. "Did it ever occur to you that maybe I wanted to go to Prom with Tommy?"
"I'm sorry, Sarah," You apologize, not fully comprehending what just happened.
"I'm sure you are," Sarah sneers as she grabs her bags and storms out of the mall.
With only a week until Prom, you have no date or best friend. Should you try to calm Sarah down now, or wait until it gets closer to Prom?
