Ella and Jake were high schoolers. They had been neighbours and best friends since kindergarten. They grew up together, played together, went to the same schools together- they were always together. Everyone always assumed they were couple, but that was never the case. It didn't help that Ella was your typical girly girl cheerleader and that Jake was your typical manly Jock. They just seemed perfect for eachother, and yet they were just friends.
Is was lunch time at school. Ella and Jake say with each other as they always do, usually talking about random stuff and making eachother laugh, but today Ella was more quite. This didn't go unnoticed. "Wassup with you today? Your unusually quiet." Ella replied "I've had something on my mind that my dad told me yesterday." " Did he finally tell you your adopted, I'm sorry to hear it, we all knew it would come out eventually" he joked. Ella laughed "haha, shut up, but seriously he told me something really interesting! His company was working on... A body swap machine!" Jake sniggered "right, I suppose they started working on that straight after finishing the bullshito ray they used on you?" "Jake I'm serious, you know my dad, he never lies" she stated. Jake was unconvinced. "I suppose, but even so why are you telling me this?" He asked while sipping his drink. "Cause I think he should switch bodies!" Jake spat his drink out everywhere "you think we should what?" "Think about it, knowing what it's like as the opposite member of sex, and plus I wouldn't wanna swap with any other guy." "... Really?" He asked. "Yeah I mean, what you'd think I'd swap with that jerk Kyle?" Jake laughed "haha I suppose your right... Okay, I'm not saying I believe you, but say we went look at this machine thing?" " Great, we'll do it after school, sound good? Awesome, see ya" she rushed out. "Uhm... Sure I guess..." But Ella was already long gone.
