New Family

David (In Amelia's Body) POV
Dad opened the door for Amelia and me and we all walked in. The rest of the family was waiting for us inside.
"Did it work?" Mom asked us. The three of us nodded.
"This is unbelievable!" Cassie exclaimed. "Is that really you in there David?" She asked me.
"Yeah," I said with a depressed tone.
I was staring at the ground from the second we came in. Amelia had her arms crossed as well as a grumpy look on her face. Melody came up to me and asked "Are you going to be mean to me?"
I took my eyes off the ground and looked her in the eyes. "Of course not," I said.
"You better not bother me!" Amelia yelled. "I have enough problems now!"
"Go to your room!" Dad yelled. "Your new room."
Amelia angrily walked to what used to be my room. Cassie would be sharing a room with Amelia from now on.
"Alright, now let's discuss how things are going to be from now on," Dad said. "First of all, nobody except us and those closest to us can know about this. We don't want the media to be bursting through our door asking us about this procedure. Second, in public we must act as if nothing has happened to David and Amelia. We have to treat them like we did before in public. That includes referring to the person we're talking to by what they look like now, not who they used to be. Third, David and Amelia must dress and act like each other to the best of their ability when we're out in public. Lastly, when we're at home with no outsiders around, you all can act however you want. Everybody got it?" Dad asked. We all nodded.
"I want to talk with the new Amelia in private," Cassie said.
We went into the basement and talked. She asked me about how I felt in my new body. I said that my new body felt strange and my clothes were uncomfortable.
"I noticed that you walk exactly like she used to," Cassie exclaimed.
"Motor skills stay with the body," I said.
"It's going to be hard to get used to talking to you with the way you look now," Cassie said.
"If I can adjust, you can adjust."
"By the way, Stephen and Laura are coming over tomorrow to meet the new you."
"That's great," I said, "I could use the support of my best friends." We both walked back upstairs.
The family ordered pizza for dinner. Amelia was allowed to come out of her new room to eat with us. Although she was now completely silent, she had an expression of rage on her face. I noticed that I couldn't eat as much as I used to. Amelia's stomach probably couldn't handle as much food as mine. Just another thing that I had to get used to. After dinner, Dad told everybody to get ready for bed. He told Amelia and I to sleep in our new rooms.
I looked into Amelia's closet and found only feminine sleepwear. She had a lot of nightgowns but I sure didn't want to wear one of those yet. So I settled for a bright green tank top and pink pajama shorts with flowers on them. Melody came into the room and climbed into her bed; opposite to my new one.
"I'm so happy I don't share a room with a meanie anymore!" She said.
"I'll try to be the best sister to you as I can," I said to her. I climbed into my new bed which had a girlish comforter. I better get used to the color pink, I thought to myself.
I tried to keep my emotions hidden from my family as much as possible. I was feeling really sad and depressed. One day I'm myself and the next day I'm my little sister forever. I can't be her. She isn't who I'm supposed to be and she isn't somebody that I can be. I just wanted to be myself again. It was gong to be very hard for me to get used to all this. It took me a long time to fall asleep that night.
