"This can't be happening!" David exclaimed as he took another look at his pretty face, or rather Emily's face.
"If I am here ..." he said to nobody in particular, "Then who is there?"
David put his trembling hands on the steering wheel of the car. He took a deep breath and released the brake. The car was still in the middle of the road but fortunately traffic wasn't too bad. He looked around and after a few confusing moments recognized where he was. He was about two block away from his dealership.
He performed a u-turn and began heading back to the car dealership. He found it hard to concentrate on what was going on. On more than one occasion he nearly hit something. His hands were shaking and his mind was racing as he thought about this very strange situation.
At last he made it back to the car lot. He drove right up to the front door and hoped out of the car. He barely remembered to put the car in park but he did leave the engine running. He darted through the front room and into the hallway where the few offices are. He stopped at his own office and hesitated for just a moment. He took a deep breath and turned the doorknob.
