"Okay, let's... let's switch back," you say, shaking slightly.
"Oh no you don't," you body tells you, holding up a finger and smiling mischievously. "If you were so eager to be me, why don't you try it for a while, hm?"
You stare into your own eyes. You cannot be hearing this.
"It was just a test!" you say. "I don't want this! Come on, drink it again!"
"Come on, John, don't you want to try switching lives for just a few days? I'm sure you'll learn a lot... and I can relax while you take care of Melody for me. I'm sure I can trust you to do that."
"Y-you're crazy!" you stammer. Erica's amused expression fades.
"Please, John?" she asks, suddenly sounding dead serious. "My life has just been so stressful lately... it's wearing me down. A little break would do me a world of good. Do your big sister a favour, will you?"
"But... I don't know what to do with a baby!" you plead.
"Oh, it'll come to you. Maternal instinct," Erica says with a knowing smile.
"I don't have maternal instinct! I'm not a mother!"
"You are now."
You look down at the swollen breasts that are now temporarily yours and lose the will to argue that point. You sigh.
"Three days, John," Erica says, smiling a sweet smile that looks a bit wrong on your face. "Can you do that for me?"
Your silence indicates reluctant agreement. You can't believe you've let yourself get into this.
