Foxglove rolled her eyes as a barmaid came over and sat a bottle of fresh wine on the table. "Top shelf huh? I guess I have enough for a bottle of Silver Serpent, but you'll need to put up a quarter of the cost if I do." she replied as she handed the barmaid some coins for the wine. You let out a sigh, this was going to hurt your savings...but there was no way you'd turn down a bottle of Silver Serpent. That stuff was as potent as undercity grog, only without the nasty aftertaste or blacking out.
"I guess I can afford that..." you say as you dig a handful of coins out of a hidden pocket in your robe. After counting out your portion of the cost you add it to a small stack of money on the table next to the fresh bottle of wine. "A bottle of Silver Serpent, please." Foxglove says as she hands the stack of coins to the barmaid, who nods and walks back over to the front counter.
A minute later she returns carrying a polished silver bottle with pale platinum trimmings wrapped around it like vines. The bottle was fairly small, only about two thirds of the size of the nearby wine bottle and was capped with a blue enchanted seal on top of the stopper. Foxglove wasted no time in peeling the seal away and popping the cap off with a loud squeak. A cloudy sky blue aroma rose from the shimmering white liquid inside as it was poured and then evaporated as quickly as it had appeared.
"This drained most of my funds, so you'd better enjoy this." Foxglove said teasingly as she handed you your glass. You took a moment to breathe in and savor the rich smell of this exotic drink. It hadn't even touched your tongue yet and you could already taste the mana-enhanced flavor of this magical blend as you brought the glass to your lips. "Thanks for the treat, Foxy." you say with a mischievous grin as Foxglove rolls her eyes again. She always did hate your little nicknames for her...
