You help an older woman to safety as the front half of the Simic research clinic collapses into a pile of burnt ash. "Damn it, the research!" the elf man growls as he shoots a massive spray of ice crystals at the central blaze. The fire retreats slightly, but continues to burn as smoke and steam fill the air.
"I think she was the last one!" the Simic woman calls as she rises to her feet. You take a quick look around and nod your head. "I think you're right, I don't see anymore trapped civilians!" you reply as your eyes return to normal. "Now we just need to stop this fire." The two of you rush over to the elf man as he struggles to stop the blaze from spreading.
"About time, what the hell were you doing?" the elf man asks angrily as he as he wipes a bead of sweat from his face. "Sorry, we had to protect the citizens." you answer back as you pop the cork out of a vial of glowing blue energy and absorb its power. "Idiots, just help me stop this." the elf man replies as he charges up another spell.
The three of you call upon powerful blue magic as other members of the Simic and a few other friendly guilds show up to lend a hand. A Golgari man uses a decay spell to crumble a wall shielding most of the fire and an Izzet woman sends a powerful gust of pure mana energy to smother the flames. "Nice work!" you yell as you and your guildmates charge a powerful tsunami blast to finish the inferno off.
A towering wave of glowing blue mana floods the nearby district in water as the fire is finally pushed back. A final cloud of smoke begins to rise as the last few flames die down and the charred skeletons of the nearby buildings begin to collapse. In a few seconds the only trace of the disaster would be a few tiny embers and enough charred wood to fill a small forest.
"We did it...!" you gasp as you collapse backwards onto the ground next your allies. What next?
