Here are some ideas based on the Wonder Woman movies of DCEU, the first two ones in chronological order by the time this chapter has been written
- The Wonder Woman movie plot moves when Diana meets and rescues US pilot Captain Steve Trevor, so instead of this protagonist we can switch for another person that might be a german pilot or not related to the war altogether as the first point of contact between Wonder Woman and the modern civilization. It can also be on a completely different timeline, further back in time or in the present day
- On the first movie the motivation for Diana to leave Themyscira is to stop World War I, what if that scenario simply didn't exist? Would Diana have a different reason to leave her home or any person stranded would get to adapt into the rules and customs of the Amazons? They can even think of going outside into the modern world just to capture more humans and bring them to Themyscira instead
- The WW1984 movie revolves around the dreamstone, an artifact that can grant wishes in exchange of losing something valuable. In the movie the protagonists discover the caveat of the dreamstone eventually, but what if they didn't? The story would feature a role reversal scenario where the growth of Barbara into a super powered Amazon and Diana's loss of powers might not get explained at all (or where they simply refuse to renounce their wishes) and they get to adapt to this new reality. To avoid Barbara becoming a supervillain, maybe she can lose something else instead of her personality.
- An easy one with the second movie, what if the dreamstone fell in the hands of someone else aside from the protagonists of the story? or what if the dreamstone worked in a different way allowing the protagonists to either get more wishes, no drawbacks at all or a different kind of drawback? This would allow further freedom to do anything within the universe of the movie, or explore different paths with an artifact that has seemingly unlimited reality changing capabilities
