Liz's parents had her stuff shipped into the dorm by movers, a rather unusual and possibly unnecessary step, but pretty in line with the excess that she was used to. Cassi was shocked when she got packages about a week before Liz was set to move in of clothes, but Cassi just had the movers set up the things, or put the clothes in the second closet that was designated as Liz's. It seemed amazing to Liz that her family wasn't just going to move her things in with her, but Cassi in her small town upbringing had come from a much different family than the hyper-competitive, always busy upbringing that Liz was accustomed to.
When Liz finally came on Freshman orientation day, she walked in, to a Cassi who sprung off the couch. Liz's first thoughts centered at the roommate in front of her. Unlike Alison, she did not do any background research or social media friending with her new roommate, so Cassi's size caught Liz off guard, "Oh my gosh, she's fat," she thought, rather disappointed and shocked.
"Hi, you must be Liz!" Cassi said, trying to be friendly to someone whom she knew nothing about, except that they would be living together the next year. In her first impressions, Liz was thin, pale, skinny, and had nice black hair. She was wearing clothing that looked really chic. However, Cassi sensed that back when she was thinner, she was prettier than Liz, as if Cassi had more natural beauty, however, she had yet to learn any kind of personality traits associated with this face she had just seen for the first time.
"Yep. So we're roommates...I'm so excited!" Liz said in what she hoped sounded enthusiastic. In truth, she was slightly disappointed that not only did she have a Sophomore roommate, she had one who looked huge, but she figured she could make the best of it and meet some new guys, or friends outside of dorm life. Plus, her goal was still to ace college and get into a top business or law school, and open up a lucrative career path, so if she had to make nice with Cassi, she could live with that.
